Qualifications:

Degree (Masters Preferred) or equivalent in geophysics (preferred) or related Geoscience discipline or relevant experience and proven track record.

Objectives:

To apply accured knowledge and experience in performing company work with due diligence and professionalism, and with emphasis on striving for ever improved geophysical standards.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• To be aware of the contents of te company’s Quality and Safety Policy Manuals; to be ever mindful of ones responsibilities in the workplace which affect Health and Safety of oneself and colleagues
• Acquisition of analogue geophysical, 2DHR seismic and hydrographic data offshore
• Online QC of analogue geophysical, 2DHR seismic and hydrographic data offshore
• Processing, interpretation and report of analogue geophysical, 2DHR seismic and hydrographic data
• Work within a team of varying disciplines and prove leadership and guidance
• Team leader or party chief on operations as required
• Provide technical support for geophysicists and other Client Personnel
• Advise and instruct relevant Managers on Geophysical matters during operations
• Assist in preparation of Geophysics technical and commercial proposals as required
• Carry out administration tasks according to company procedures
• Be conversant with all leading edge technology relating to geophysics operations
• Undertake training related disciplines as required
• Any other duties deemed necessary, within the bounds of Senior Geophysicist competence and function

Liaison:

The Senior geophysicist will liaise with all colleagues as required in order to continue to raise the technical expertise and operational efficiency of geophysics operations.
